After a thoroughly wet rest day in Peterhead, I set off around the corner into the Moray Firth. These pictures were taken by the harbourmaster at Whitehills as I was coming into the port. I don't usually have time to take piccies coming into a harbour because there's a lot to think about and get ready, so it was extremely kind of him to take these.

Whitehills is the most picturesque little village and everyone is so friendly and helpful. It was also the first time I've not felt cold during the journey, with the temperatures reaching a giddy 15 degrees!

Notable observations during the trip were a dolphin passing by, a cliff face absolutely full of nesting gannets, a flock of gannets in a feeding frenzy over a shoal of fish, as well as the ubiquitous puffins, guillemots and razorbills. Apparently some Orca have been spotted in the Moray Firth so I'll have to keep my eyes out...
