It was an early start and it turned out to be well worthwhile as the wind was blowing strongly from the east, directly in my face. I spent the day punching very slowly against the wind and tide, barely getting above 3 knots.
Brighton marina was excellent, and I was able to tie up, get a shower, and head off for a meal in one of many restaurants lining the marina.
