Cowes to Chichester Harbour

Another lovely August day as I headed out of the Solent towards Chichester Harbour. At one stage, I had to calibrate the electronic compass in the autohelm, which involved turning the boat around in large circles. If anyone was watching me, they would probably have wondered what on earth I was doing.

As I left the hurly-burly of the Solent, it was a relief to get into quieter waters where I could afford to relax from time to time, especially with the autohelm working better with the calibrated compass.

I dropped anchor behind a sandbank just inside Chichester harbour and spent a wonderfully peaceful night.
