I left Brighton fairly early to catch the favourable tide, and despite very light winds was able to make good progress and reached Eastbourne by lunchtime. That gave me a lazy afternoon off to have a nap and catch up with the Olympics.
I had planned to make the trip to Dover tomorrow and then on to the Swale and my finishing point on Saturday, but the forecast for Saturday is horrendous. With winds up to storm force 10, I don't think my little boat will be going out in it! Anyway, at least I can leave the boat at Dover and go home to wait there until the grotty weather passes. I dread to think about the mountain of post waiting behind the front door!
