Rest and relaxation

Today I woke to the news that we had voted to leave the EU. For me it's a sad day and it will take some time for all the consequences to become apparent. I just hope that we get a new leader who is capable of making the very best of the situation.

Anyway, today I just came down through Neptune's Staircase and parked at the bottom in the Corpach Basin. The weather has been changeable with some heavy showers, so I just spent the day getting provisions, looking around locally, and tidying up the boat.

It's what mooring lines are for...

A family of fledgling swifts came and perched on the mooring lines for a while, waiting for mum to come and feed them. She was very organized and fed them carefully in turn, even though they all clamoured for attention each time she came back with a mouthful of midges.

Tomorrow I head off out to sea again and down the coast to Oban. Weather forecast looks good!
