Strangford Lough to Port St. Mary IOM

Today the wind dropped, so I had to motor all the way across the Irish sea to the Isle of Man. There are few places for visiting yachts on the Island so I wasn't sure what I would find when I arrived. Especially as the Irish sea seemed full of other yachts all heading towards the same place!

I had been hoping to pick up a mooring in the harbour at Port St. Mary, but all the moorings were occupied by the time I got there. The harbourmaster was very helpful (as they almost all have been!) and directed me to tie up alongside a workboat on the harbour wall. In a way it was a bonus because I could step ashore and make use of the facilities, albeit via a rather long and somewhat rusty vertical ladder...
