Pwllheli to Aberystwyth

Ah, summer has arrived at last! There was thick fog again for the first hour or so after I left Pwllheli so I was flying on instruments to start with. But then the fog started to lift and the skies cleared to give a glorious sunny day.

There was very little wind so I had to motor all the way. Now I need you to bear with me for a moment:

An inquisitive visitor
Hands up if you can make out a dolphin in the above picture...
OK I was a bit late taking the picture otherwise you'd have seen it above the water, but I was slow to grab the camera. It was one of three dolphins that came to check out the boat during the crossing. In the calm sea, you can see any disturbance to the surface from a long way off, so I could follow the dolphins as they approached. I was hoping for a glimpse of a basking shark but didn't see one today.

A cool refreshing drink at the end of the day!
